Many are invited but few are chosen
The parable of the wedding feast was one of the many parables I found very difficult understanding while growing up, it’s about a king who sent his servants to invite special guests to his feast, the people invited refused to come, instead of coming, some choose to maltreat and even kill his servants. The king got angry and sent out his troop to kill the murders. Later, he sent his servants again to invite anybody who wishes to come. What shocked me most was how he treated one of his guests who came without a wedding garment.
There are so many reflection qualities attached to this parable but I want us to concentrate, today, on the fact that heaven is always open to accept everybody but no one is allowed to come unclean and unprepared.
